The 1948-52 vacuum controlled system worked, but it's side-to-side travel was slow when accelerating and the 1948-50 standard cab single wiper bladder set-up left areas of the windshield unreachable and unclean from the single blades reach.
Our 12 volt complete kit upgrades the slow vacuum wiper system to a 2 wiper, 2 speed system allowing for wiper speed control and greater visibility if it becomes necessary to use them. Dennis Carpenter's kit includes: wiper motor, switch, wiring, mounting brackets, right and left wiper pivots, and a wiring diagram with installation instructions.
