Is your temperature gauge not reading correctly?
Begin by replacing the temperature sender on your 1956 Ford with Dennis Carpenter's 12-volt exact reproduction. Crafted to adhere to Ford's original 3⁄8" NPT thread count and output reading specifications, these senders offer the ability to use either a female spade or eyelet connector to allow a seamless installation and an accurate gauge reading. We produce these senders and many other high quality Ford restoration parts at our long-standing manufacturing plant in Concord, North Carolina, USA.
Our Ford Experts Recommend:
For optimal installation of sending units, it is advisable to minimize the application of Teflon tape. Exceeding 1.5 wraps on the sender's threads may lead to it being sealed off from establishing a quality ground connection, thereby causing an incorrect dash gauge reading.
